Trois méchants brigands passent leur temps à détrousser les voyageurs en diligence et à détruire les attelages... Leurs forfaits commis, ils accumulent leurs butins dans une caverne retirée en haut de la montagne. Leur vision sombre et violente du monde change du tout au tout, ils arrêtent les pillages, libèrent les enfants d'un orphelinat dont la directrice s'adonne à un trafic de confiseries et décident d'acheter un château pour y héberger tous les orphelins du pays.
