Les lectures en Français Facile

'Découverte' by the publisher CLE International is a series of easy French readers. Choosing from seven levels of difficulty, the student is introduced to contemporary French. The books also include comprehension activities and vocabulary notes.

New at Le Forum, the series is now available in level 0 (or intro level) for the very beginners. The story is written in the present tense and includes vocabulary that is easy and comprehensive.

We recommend the titles: Jojo by Rachel Barnes and C'est chouette, la vie! by Giovanna Tempesta.

Useful because visual, these French-English image books will be the little ones' first dictionary. Your younger students will find appealing Premier Imagier Français-Anglais and L'imagerie Français-Anglais with the beautiful colour pictures. For the older ones, DK's Visual Bilingual Dictionary includes over 6,000 words and phrases illustrated with colour-photos.

Surprise Party d'Alice Caye

This bilingual book from the series 'De l'une à l'autre langue' has every other chapter in French, the rest in English. Readers begin the novel in one language, but to find out what happens next, they have to switch to the other! The DUAL Books are new novels written in up-to-date language by bilingual writers.

The book, thrilling and amusing, will be an enjoyable read for high school students. To help you explore the novel thoroughly, the editor Talents Hauts has published online a 'fiche pédagogique' for ideas on how to engage with students before, during and after reading Surprise Party.
